L.Rev. 76 (2022)<\/cite>\n<br>\n<cite>Article language: English.<\/cite>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">In the 21st century the rise of numerous Non-state Armed Groups (NSAGs) such as the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS), and Al Qaeda has been experienced. With the height of the \u201csmart\u201d generation and the ubiquity of social media platforms, numerous individuals from across all corners of the globe have been recruited by such groups online and have gone on to join them in the Middle East and Northern Africa. However, a prominent legal hurdle arises when they wish to return to their nation of birth. This article aims to analyse numerous instruments of international law, recent decisions by the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), diplomatic policies adopted by EU member nations, and Milanovic\u2019s concept of the \u201cpersonal model of extraterritorial jurisdiction\u201d to answer one primary question \u2013 are States under an \u201cerga omnes\u201d obligation to repatriate Foreign Terrorist Fighters?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"\/files\/archive\/volume8\/issue1\/8BSULawRev1.5.pdf\">Download: PDF<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>8 Baku St. U.
