In this type of review process, the identities of the author and the reviewer are not disclosed to each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">This policy outlines the review process including editorial assessment, reviewer selection, peer review and the final decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Table of Contents:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#h-i-editorial-assessment\" class=\"ek-link\">I. Editorial Assessment<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#h-ii-reviewer-selection\" class=\"ek-link\">II. Reviewer Selection<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#h-iii-review-report\" class=\"ek-link\">III. Review Report<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"#h-iv-final-decision\" class=\"ek-link\">IV. Final Decision<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-i-editorial-assessment\">I. Editorial Assessment<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Initial assessment is evaluating a submitted manuscript by editors to determine whether it is suitable for peer review. This process helps to ensure that only papers of sufficent quality are sent to reviewers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Upon successful completion of the initial assessment, the manuscript proceeds to peer review; however, if it does not meet the initial criteria, the author is notified of the decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-ii-reviewer-selection\">II. Reviewer Selection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">BSU Law Review maintains a database of potential reviewers with expertise in a diverse range of legal areas. This database ensures that each manuscript is matched with the most qualified reviewers possible. Reviewers are selected based on their area of expertise, prior experience in legal scholarship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-iii-review-report\">III. Review Report<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">Reviewers evaluate the manuscript in accordance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/lr.bsulawss.org\/en\/review-form\/\" class=\"ek-link\">review form<\/a>. Then, reviewers submit final reports providing recommendations for acceptance, conditional acceptance with revision, or rejection. These reports serve as critical inputs for the Editorial Board&#8217;s ultimate decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"h-iv-final-decision\">IV. Final Decision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-justify\">After considering reviewer feedback and consulting with the Editorial Board, the Editor-in-Chief makes the final decision on manuscript acceptance.
